Start With What Matters to You

 

You do not need to know technical risk terminology or arrive with a completed security plan.

The Protection Advisor begins with your organization and adjusts its questions based on the information you provide. A church, school, nonprofit, business, healthcare organization, government agency, and community organization do not have the same people, responsibilities, operating conditions, or risks.

 

Your assessment will reflect those differences.

The Protection Advisor may ask about:

• Your organization, facilities, activities, and operating environment

• The people who depend on or interact with your organization

• Threats, hazards, incidents, and concerns that may affect you

• Emergency plans, communications, training, and exercises

• Physical, operational, technological, and organizational capabilities

• Responsibility for decisions and protective action

• Dependencies on utilities, suppliers, contractors, public services, and other resources

You may select Not Sure, Not Applicable, or Prefer Not to Answer when appropriate. Identifying uncertainty is useful. It helps show where more information may be needed.

• Suggested subjects for further review

• Practical next steps

• Opportunities for a more detailed Salus assessment

 

The Protection Advisor does not assign blame, certify readiness, or declare an organization safe or unsafe. Its purpose is to help you see what may matter, recognize what is not yet known, and make a more informed decision about what to examine next.

That initial picture can help leadership recognize relationships, clarify responsibilities, and decide what deserves attention first.

 

When a more detailed assessment is appropriate, Salus can help examine threats and hazards, consequences, capability requirements, existing resources, operational dependencies, competing demands, and the changes needed to improve protection, preparedness, continuity, and recovery.

Your Information

Your answers will be retained as part of your Protection Advisor record so that your assessment can be reviewed, continued, and used to support future assistance.

 

Salus may also use separately reviewed and appropriately deidentified information to improve its understanding of hazards, industries, geographic conditions, available resources, operational dependencies, and recurring protection needs. Information from one organization will not be disclosed to another organization as that organization’s identifiable information.

Before submitting information, you will be shown the applicable privacy, consent, and information-use terms.

 

Do not enter passwords, financial account information, medical records, government identification numbers, classified information, or operational details whose disclosure could create an immediate security risk.

It is not an emergency reporting service, a completed Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, a professional security assessment, legal advice, insurance advice, or a guarantee against loss.
